The till
Golf club EPOS for the clubhouse, bar and pro shop
Three tills in one — pro shop, bar and restaurant — on the same record as the tee sheet and the member account.
The problem
A till that does not know who is standing at it.
Most clubhouse tills are a retail till with a club logo on them. They can take a card and print a receipt, and that is the end of what they know. They cannot see that the man at the bar played this morning, that his subscription is unpaid, that his household has a minimum spend to meet, or that his category earns a discount. So the bar takes the money and the office finds out at month end.
What it does
One catalogue, three counters, no reconciliation.
Three modes on one system
Pro shop, bar and restaurant, each with its own layout and its own way of working, all drawing on one catalogue. Change a price once and every till has it.
The restaurant properly
Table floor plan and covers, seat-level items, course grouping, fire a course to the kitchen, kitchen display, transfer and merge tabs, service-pacing alerts, and a bill split by seat.
The pro shop properly
Retail catalogue with variants, modifier and side groups, stock decrement on sale, meal periods, discount codes, refunds, offline sync, and end-of-day terminal reconciliation.
The difference
It charges to the member, not to a card.
A round of drinks, a sleeve of balls and this morning’s green fee land on the same member account the moment they happen, and appear on the same statement. Payment can be a card, cash, the member’s wallet, levy credit, or a split across several members. Where a household has a minimum spend, the till knows the live position rather than the month-end one.
Hardware
Terminals and card payments.
Card payments are taken on Fescue-supplied terminals. Processing is handled by our payment provider — card numbers never reach Fescue and are never stored by us. Clubs that would rather keep an existing terminal can do that, and the sale still records against the member account.

Questions
Asked before the meeting.
Can we buy the till on its own?
Yes. Fescue Club POS is a standalone product: pro shop, bar and restaurant EPOS, member accounts and statements, stock and end-of-day reconciliation. It does not include the tee sheet, competitions or the events diary.
Does it work offline?
Yes. A terminal that loses its connection keeps taking orders and payments locally, and synchronises the sales back to the member accounts when the connection returns. Nothing is lost and nothing is re-keyed.
Can members charge to their account?
That is the point of it. A round of drinks or a sleeve of balls posts to the member account as it happens and appears on the same statement as everything else. Payment can also be a card, cash, the member's wallet, levy credit, or a split across several members.
Do we need new hardware?
Card payments are taken on Fescue-supplied terminals. Clubs that would rather keep an existing terminal can do that, and the sale still records against the member account. The EPOS software itself runs on the screens and printers most clubhouses already have.
Who processes the card payments?
Our payment provider does. Card numbers never reach Fescue and are never stored by us. Fescue is not the processor, the acquirer or the merchant of record; the provider is named in full on our security page.
Is there a minimum term?
Fescue Club POS: 12 months minimum, longer terms by agreement. Billing is annual, in advance. After the initial term it runs on with 30 days notice.
Can we upgrade to the full platform later?
Yes. Fescue Club POS and the Fescue Club Platform are the same product family, and the till is included in the platform at no extra charge, so moving up adds the tee sheet, competitions, events and reporting rather than replacing what you already run.
